FLM Foil maintains a rigorous control over each stage of the production process, guaranteeing the delivery of excellent quality products.
We proceed to our Torque Force Tester, which displays a live graph of the peel strength of the adhesive from the foil. Using a 5N load cell, the test provides two readings of the foil's workability, enhancing our confidence.
We inspect the color of each foil using our X-Rite Pantone machine. This step is extremely important in our process as it ensures precise color comparison, rather than merely relying on visual inspection. We understand how frustrating it can be to receive a foil that doesn't match the expected color. Our color test is how we prevent that from happening."
We perform a weight check on each foil using our precise weighing scales. For this, we take one 10cmx10cm samples from the roll and weigh twice to ensure consistent coating weight throughout the foil. If the weights are inconsistent, this could result in uneven printing across the web. Any deviation of more than ±0.1g per 100cm² from the standard specification will lead to rejection of the foil.
We start by evaluating the foil release on our Foiling Machine, utilizing a custom foil template which incorporating diverse fine detail structures, standard thickness lettering, and solid areas. This testing is employed to assess the release consistency across various grades.
We will conduct UV curing testing in our lab using a UV printer to evaluate the curing performance of UV inks on our foil, ensuring superior finished product quality.
